Music and Movement are instrumental in holistic childhood development.
Junior Jive is an authentic South African educational music and movement programme. They don’t only focus on music concepts and music knowledge, They also develop gross motor and fine motor skills, as well as other perceptual skills. The cherry on top is it is done through creative play and exploration and have a lot of fun every week.
These classes introduce your child to music, rhythm, movement, all the languages of our country. As well as various musical genres helping to develop their whole brain. All of our specialist teachers are musicians, they work on a comprehensive nationally used curriculum, that is age-appropriate for each age group we teach.
Our grade 1 – 4 learners participate in these classes
Your child is taught by specialist music teachers in a fun, relaxed environment.
Your child is gently encouraged, through specifically structured activities, to explore, move independently, learn to be part of the group and develop confidence.
Your child can practice motor skills, listen carefully, master competency in feeling and expressing a beat and be comfortable with self-expression.
Your child learns basic music concepts, terminology and is exposed to different music genres and is taught to read music and play a musical instrument.
