Kholiwe is currently VP and Country MD of Software AG SA and the Executive Board Member. A Harvard Alumni and a Bachelor of Accounting Science graduate, Kholiwe completed executive and leadership programs at leading institutions both locally and abroad. Kholiwe has been invited to serve as Harvard Business School (HBS) Alumni Board Member for a 3-year term, effective September 2020 to June 2022 and is the Chairperson of the Sparrow School Educational Trust. She serves a non-Executive Director of Kagiso Tiso Holding (KTH), an investment holding company. Makhohliso also serves as an Audit Committee non-Executive Director of Kagiso Media, a subsidiary of KTH and a black-controlled company with interests in new media, content production, specialised publishing, research, radio broadcasting, and television. She also served as a member of the South African Chamber of Commerce in her capacity as the Country MD of Oracle South Africa. While CFO at National Heritage Council, she also served as the National Governing Council (NGC) member of the South African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), under the then Former Ministers of Department of Public and Service Administration, Mrs. Fraser Moleketi and Mr. Baloyi. APRM was an initiative by the African Union to promote more effective governance and practices to lead to political stability and economic growth through sharing experience and reinforcement of successful and best practices. An advocate for the advancement of Women in Leadership, she has been part of women development initiatives at both Oracle and Accenture and continues to drive that at Software AG. Kholiwe Makhohliso is a mother of two kids, a 19-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. Kholiwe is an adventure enthusiast, who rides a motorcycle, also cycles. A quiet, deeply spiritual individual, Kholiwe enjoys spending time with her kids and reading, when not riding or cycling. Quite a contrast to her adventurous nature!!
